TYLER, TX (KLTV) - A strong cold front is expected to pass through East Texas very late on Tuesday night. Out ahead of, and along this front, strong to severe thunderstorms will be possible. Strong gusty winds are expected to be the main threat with an outside chance of an isolated tornado as well.
The storm prediction center has place the northwest sections of East Texas, from Houston County, Northeastward to Cass County. This means that there is a 15% chance of significant severe weather within 25 miles of any point within the slight risk. Once this front moves through East Texas, a few showers will be possible as another cold front passes into and through our area on Wednesday. The second cold front will have some much cooler air associated with it, cooling us down nicely.
