Kaufman County remains the only county under a Burn Ban at this time.
Each day this week, the chances for showers and thundershowers has diminished and tomorrow, the chances will be 10% or less and limited to only the far southeastern sections of East Texas. Most all of us will stay dry..not only tomorrow, but through early next week.
Temperatures will change little over the next 5 days. Lows will remain in the middle 70s and highs in the mid to upper 90s. Temperature-Humidity Index values should rise to 101-108 degrees during the heat of the day..from 3 to 6 PM, then begin to rapidly cool off.
Still looking at the chances of a weak cold front moving into/near East Texas late Thursday of next week or early on Friday. The area of concern in the Tropical Atlantic seems to be much less of a concern for the Gulf of Mexico this afternoon. Most forecast models are allowing this system to move over the Bahamas during the middle of next week, keeping it away from the Gulf Coast States and more importantly, the U.S. Mainland.
