More clouds and more wind today than has been the case over the last few days, therefore, we are not as warm this afternoon as we have been. Highs today should rise into the lower 80s for the most part with a few getting into the mid 80s later this afternoon. Chances for showers and a few thundershowers remains until this evening. Not expecting anything severe, but we will, as always, keep our eyes on the skies for you.
Friday and Saturday should be fairly nice days with lows generally in the upper 50s and highs in the mid 80s. Winds should be from the south and southeast at 8-15mph during the day...lighter at night.
We continue to watch a very strong storm system setting up over the central and southern plains very late this weekend and early next week. The front is expected to pass through ETX very early on Monday morning. With that being said, the chances for strong to severe storms could exist beginning late Sunday and continuing through the noon hour on Monday. The Storm Prediction Center continues to focus on this time period and beyond as this front will likely cause strong/severe storms over the Eastern sections of the country through Wednesday. Please stay tuned for the latest weather info from your StormTracker 7 Weather Team.
