It is time to announce our Community Spotlight organization for the month of March - Hospice of East Texas. Hospice of East Texas like all hospice organizations, provides care and comfort for patients and their families during the final days of life. And while this is a highly emotional time for families, hospice providers are compassionate, caring people with a bright outlook, focusing on the dignity of the patient. And while you may or may not have that special wiring that comes with being a care provider, you can volunteer in a number of ways. From music to meals, garden design to public speaking, Hospice of East Texas has a volunteer role for people of all ages and walks of life. All it takes is a willingness to touch families in need. They even have volunteer programs for students. But they also need your donation. Families served by Hospice of East Texas never receive a bill so it is critical that they receive financial support from the community. You can give through their website or in person.
