LONGVIEW, TX - It was a close shave for one East Texas barber, when two subjects robbed her at gunpoint.

As soon as the robbers left, the barber shop owner called police. According to the owner, the two suspects came to her barber shop located at 3209 S. MLK Boulevard and produced a handgun, demanding money from the shop and also the money from a customer that was inside. Once the suspects took a bank bag containing cash and the customer's wallet, they ran from the scene.

Witnesses to the robbery told officers that the suspects changed clothes and discarded items by a car when they heard police sirens. Officers then recovered a loaded .22 caliber handgun and clothing worn in the robbery. The witnesses provided officers with the suspect's new clothing description and with this information, an officer located the suspects in the area of Eugene and Margo Street. One of the suspects ran, but the officer was able to apprehend the second suspect.

Witnesses identified the suspect, Anthony Orange, as one of the suspects that had committed the robbery at the barber shop. Orange was transported to the Gregg County Jail and charged with aggravated robbery (1st degree felony) and failure to identify (Class B misdemeanor).
