East Texas teenager reveals Eagle Scout project with special guest

BULLARD, TX (KLTV) - He's dreamed of becoming an Eagle Scout since he was a little boy.  Sunday afternoon, Josh Ritch, 15 of Bullard revealed his project that earned him the Eagle Scout title.

For six months, Josh built two flag poles outside the First United Methodist Mission House in Bullard.  His Boy Scout troop volunteers at the mission.  There was a special guest Sunday as the flags were raised.

"My uncle Randall Morris is a staff sergeant serving in Iraq for the National Guard, and it's a great honor to have him back, and I'm real happy that he came back for the short time he could. It's a great honor to become an Eagle Scout.  It's a great honor for any American."  Josh has been a member of Boy Scout Troop 366 since the first grade.  He's also a member of the Brotherhood of the Order of the Arrow.
