School burglar suspect flees on bike

LONGVIEW, TX (KLTV) - A school burglar suspect was arrested after trying to flee from officers on his bicycle.

Officers responded to an alarm Thursday night at Forest Park Middle School. Upon arrival, they saw Keylon Alexander riding his bike on the campus.

Officers arrived at the school within one minute of the alarm activation and saw a subject on a bicycle on the school campus.  When the subject noticed the officers, he attempted to flee on his bicycle.  Officers were able to detain the subject and identified him as Keylon Alexander.  Alexander had a cut on his hand that had bled onto his shorts.

Upon inspection of the school, officers and school personnel located a broken window with blood on it and evidence that Alexander had been inside the school

Alexander was arrested for burglary of a building and transported to the Gregg County Jail.
