KILGORE, TX (KLTV) - What one East Texas woman found was not exactly a cereal box prize. She says she got more than she paid for inside a bag of frozen chicken she bought at a local Walmart.
What did she find inside?
Jeanette Mount said she buys Walmart Great Value frozen Chicken breast all the time.
"I usually spend from 100 to 200 a week at Walmart for groceries," said Mount.
But never did she expect to find this...
"My first impression was I thought it was the back of a remote, and I thought, 'well, that can't be the back of a remote but that what it appeared to me like,'" said Mount. "It looks like a piece of plastic, I mean I wouldn't want to eat that. I wouldn't want my family to eat it."
Jeanette took the chicken breast back to the Walmart in Kilgore. Her money was refunded, but she wants more done.
"They need to pull them off the shelves and tell the people about it. That's the most important thing to me, said Mount. "Look in the bag of chicken before you cook it."
Store managers would not talk to us on camera, but officials at the company's corporate offices gave us this statement, "the supplier of the chicken breast has been made aware of the issue. It is an isolated incident and Walmart is conducting an investigation."
No matter what it is Jenette said she still likes Walmart but for now, the frozen chicken is off the menu.
