UPDATE: Missing man found!

UPDATE 04:10PM: A Marshall man who went missing yesterday has been found! Authorities said that Mr. Wright ran out of gas just off exit 67 on I-20 in Louisiana and had to sleep in his vehicle overnight.

Today, a man was passing by and saw that Wright needed help. Keelon Monroe of Louisiana took him to the gas station and bought him some gas. Monroe called his wife to tell her what he was doing. She had been watching the news and asked her husband to describe Wright. She told her husband that Wright had just been reported missing in Marshall.

Monroe contacted the police to let them know that they had found Wright.

Wright was reunited with his family in Shreveport and his family is breathing easier.

MARSHALL, TX - A Marshall man is missing. Thurman Wright was last seen February 23 leaving his home at about 11:00 in the morning.

Mr. Wright is black, 84 years old, 5'11", 150 pounds and has short gray and black hair. He was last seen wearing a blue baseball cap, a gray/black jacket, a white collared shirt, khaki pants and black Reebok tennis shoes.

Wright left his home in his 1997 Chevrolet extended cab pick-up truck with Texas license plate 7CWG59. The truck is green with a brown stripe at the bottom. The rear passenger tail light has gray industrial tape over it.

The missing man has not made contact with any family members. It is believed that he gave two acquaintances, a younger black man and woman, a ride to their house in Harrison County off of FM 449.
