Goodbye from Christine

To My East Texas Family:

This is definitely one of the most difficult goodbyes I've had to make. East Texas has been one of the best communities I've ever lived and worked in, and in this business I've done a lot of moving around so that says a lot! You have embraced me from day one and I don't take lightly that you have let me into your homes each day to deliver the news. I remember when I first got the call about the job opportunity in Tyler in 2004. The only thing I knew about Tyler was the fact that it was 90 miles from Dallas... and the home of Earl Campbell! But after visiting and meeting everyone at KLTV I knew there was something special about this place. Four and a half years later l'm still right! While I am very proud of the work we put into bringing you the news every day, there are a lot of memories I will take with me that happen behind the scenes. The camaraderie, teamwork, the laughter (lots of laughter!!). For years I have lived away from my immediate family which meant we only get to visit once a year during the holidays. Moving closer to home was becoming more of a priority and when this opportunity in Charlotte arose, it was something we just couldn't pass up. Now, we're just a few hours drive! I look forward to the new memories I will make in North Carolina. But I won't forget the people I have been so fortunate to meet in East Texas. Thank you for being my extended family. Molly Reuter said it best the other day that this is not 'Goodbye' but 'See you later.' (Well put Miss Molly...thanks girl!)

See you later,
