EAST TEXAS (KLTV) - Now that the White House has released state specific details on their "hoped for" local impact of the stimulus plan, we decided to take a look at some of the numbers.

Our first question was, what does the Obama administration say will be the effected here in East Texas?

The answer we found? It is supposed to create jobs - thousands of jobs. The information broke down those numbers by congressional district and by state. The White House broke down the stimulus impact through job creation. Estimates were broken down nationwide and Texas fell in the top three in number of jobs created, just behind California.

States were broken into congressional districts. East Texas is comprised of districts one, four, and five. District four including Smith, Rains, Kaufman, Gregg and Van Zandt counties. They look to see eighty nine hundred jobs created over the next two years.

Second on job creation is district five. Henderson and Anderson counties fall under its umbrella. The estimate there is at 7,800 jobs. District one in northeast Texas covers nineteen counties, and expects the creation of nearly 8,000 jobs.

There is no information, so far, on the industries, or types of jobs these would be in each district.
