LONGVIEW, TX - Not once, but twice a suspect broke into Foster Middle School on Sunday.

The first break-in happened at about 3:20 in the morning. Officers saw the suspect, Jimmy Lee Mayfield Jr., inside. When the suspect ran, officers were not able to catch him. Officers then boarded up the window that was broken by the suspect.

Later that morning, at about 5:12, a second alarm went off at the school. The suspect had returned. He was taking the boards off the broken window when officers arrived. This time officers caught and arrested him. They recovered a desktop computer and projector that had been taken from the school.

Mayfield was booked into the Gregg County Jail for two counts of burglary of a building (State jail felony), evading arrest (Class B misdemeanor) and an outstanding Gregg County warrant for evading arrest (Class B misdemeanor).
