What kind of Valentine's card?!

EAST TEXAS (KLTV) - For people rushing to find the perfect gift at the last minute, Bob Hallmark came up with his own answer...

The heat is on. The pressure to pick just the right gift. Whatever will pay off or peter out tomorrow.

"[I] just get her some candy flowers, and hope that was good enough," said Tommy Downs, a last minute shopper.

Fortunately I arrived just in time to save the day, armed with an original Bob Hallmark card.

"I did not expect getting a Diet Coke would lead to this," jokes Tammy Eastwood of Kilgore.

One thing that comes with a real Bob Hallmark card is the guarantee that they are made fresh every day. My motto is not, "when you care to send the very best", it is, "when you need it right now!" They are simple straight forward cards, each one with a heartfelt, unique message.

For example, "You're the gravy on my mashed potato, brown or white."

Or how about, "See? I remembered."

"You give so much to me, and I really want you to keep doing that," read Gary McCarter, married 36 years. "Our love is like a running river that runs and runs, like a running river."

One card said, "Where's my dinner?", while others just had sweet things in them...sorry.

"I like to be unusual, different," said Ray Purdum who has been married 35 years. "Oh, I'm going to tell her this is going on our TV, cause I'm going to use this again next year."

Some say the message is more important than what you get.

"I love her very much and its been a great 36 years and I hope I have 36 more," said Gary McCarter.

"It has a little bit different message too doesn't it," I asked.

"Yes, it does," he replied.

It is a card that keeps on giving.

"And will you be shopping with me in the future?"

"Oh yes!"

Happy Valentine's Day!
