The T.K. Gorman Lady Crusaders are ready for the playoffs.
The Gorman girls have done something unheard of for the school.
They won the district championship for the first time in 30 years, and on Friday they host their first playoff game.
The Lady Crusaders are ranked sixth in the state, and breaking new ground as a basketball powerhouse.
"If this is where you had told us we would be two years ago, if you had said that to me, I probably would have laughed at you," Gorman center, Kathryn Huber said. "So this is just amazing that I have the opportunity to be in these shoes."
"Gorman girls in the past in basketball has always been a joke," guard Sara Navarro said. "So, it feels really good that our team is the one to bring importance back to basketball, especially girls basketball."
"We haven't had our best game, everyone hasn't all be on in one game," wing Brie Smith said. "So hopefully we'll be able to pull that off in the state tournament."
Gorman's game is tomorrow at 6:30 p.m. against Southwest Fort Worth Christian.
