You can't put a price on love, but retailers do put a price on Valentine's presents and services. However some East Texans or their business are coming to the rescue of those in need.

East Texas is full of romantics. Just ask Shalon Parris of Tyler who got a brand new sterling silver necklace this afternoon.

"It's really helpful because I didn't know how I was going to buy something for her, as well as, for the kids," explains Parris.

Her mother was diagnosed with liver failure last year. Shortly after, Parris lost her home.

It's the reason Jim's Jeweler's in Tyler is giving away one hundred free necklaces.

"It's a great feeling, and it's great to meet these people and talk to them and find that they still have hope," said Judy Cole.

Now, if you're ready to tie the knott, yes, marriage, one local Justice of the Peace has got you covered.

So does he think of himself as a romantic?

"I think yes, I think I am a romantic," said Cherokee County Judge James Morris.

This Valentine's Day he is offering a special wedding ceremony at Love's Lookout in Jacksonville for just 25 dollars.

"With the politics going the way it is, there are those that believe hope is inspired by big government, but I believe hope is inspired by acts of inspired love," said Morris.

Parris said she knows "all you need is love."

"Definitely priceless, and she's priceless to me, so this is something they've done that really means a lot to me," said Parris.

The free necklaces at Jim's Jewlers in Tyler are first come first serve. All you need is proof you lost your job, or home. If you're interested in a Love's Lookout marriage, keep in mind you have to get a marriage license and it takes three days to get one.
