Longview man sentenced for federal drug violations

TYLER, TX - A 29-year-old Longview man has been sentenced to prison for federal drug violations.

Ruben Lozano, III pleaded guilty back in 2008 to being involved in a conspiracy involving the posession and intended distribution of methamphetamine.

According to information presented in court, since July 2004, Lozano and other co-defendants had been conspiring to distribute methamphetamine in and around Longview.  A federal superseding indictment was returned on October 2, 2007, charging 15 individuals with conspiracy to distribute methamphetamine.

Lozano has now been sentenced to 51 months in federal prison.
