Tyler PD to hold "Beat 5" Meetings

They are being called the "Beat 5 Community Meetings".

What's their purpose?

Hosted by the Tyler PD, the meetings are ment to encourage residents to get to know the members of their police department and to tell residents and business owners about the programs offered by the police department.

Question and answer sessions are on the agenda.

"Beat 5" is comprised of the area south of Loop 323 from Highway 155 South over to South Broadway.

Meetings will be held on the following dates to allow all "Beat 5" residents and business owners the opportunity to attend one of the meetings.

1. Thursday, February 26th at Glenwood Church of Christ (auditorium) - 5210 Hollytree Dr. - 6:30pm.

2. Tuesday, March 3rd at Lanes Chapel UMC (family life center) - 8620 Old Jacksonville Hwy. - 6:30pm.

3. Thursday, March 26th Cumberland Academy (cafeteria) - 8225 S. Broadway - 6:30pm.
