A spectacular air show was held in Upshur County Friday as part of the East Texas Yamboree. A huge crowd turned out for the 3rd Annual Yamboree air show at Fox-Stevens field in Gilmer. A spectacular air show that had everything from vintage World War II planes performing stunts, to a fly-by from a massive B-52 bomber from Barksdale. The crowd was thrilled by high speed stunts and an amazing dare-devil wing walker. Organizers say it was the largest crowd in the event's short history. The Yamboree continues Saturday with the car show and events opening at 9 a.m., fiddlers contest at 10, and the parade at 11.
