LONGVIEW, TX (KLTV) - He is a world-renowned evangelist broadcaster and he has traveled all the way to East Texas. For years Dr. Billy Kim has preached the gospel to thousands of people in all walks of life.

KLTV 7 got to get a closer look at the life of one of the world's most famous evangelist. They call him the Korean Billy Graham.

Everywhere he goes, with his striking resemblance of a name, Dr. Kim's mission is to win lost souls.

"We have a message to give to the world," said Dr. Kim. "Where there is loneliness, unhappiness, tragedy, hunger, there is hope in Christ."

In 1973 Kim had the honor of translating for Dr. Billy Graham at the Korean crusade.

"It was my privilege to interpret for him and we've been very close friends since then. I pray for him every morning that God will give him health and sustaining grace."

Ever since that day, Kim has not stopped preaching. In fact, he's chairman of FEBC, Far East Broadcasting, a company that broadcasts the gospel message to North Korea, China, Russia, and Mongolia.

"When I was 17, I was introduced to Christianity in this country. What a change in my life and my families life," Kim exclaimed.

Now, at age of 76, Dr. Kim travels with the FEBC Korean Children's Choir all over, to places like LeTourneau University, hoping to make a difference.

For the last two weeks, Dr. Billy Kim and the Korean Children's Choir has toured a number of American cities. They will wrap up their tour in Los Angles later this week.
