Saturday night armed robbery outside Tyler bowling alley

Saturday night around 11:30, Tyler Police responded to a call of a robbery that occurred at gunpoint in the parking lot of the Green Acres Bowling Center. Officers learned 21-year old Sunnie McRee of Tyler and 21-year old Jennifer Bonnell of Murchison, were in their car in the parking when a man approached them. The suspect showed a black revolver and demanded their valuables saying, "Give me your money, wallet, purse...... everything."

The victims gave the suspect a small amount of cash and a cell phone. The suspect then fled on foot running east through the parking lot. There were no injuries in the incident and evidence was recovered from the crime scene. The investigation is on-going.

The suspect is described as a white male, possibly Hispanic, approximately 5'06" with a thin build, wearing a grey hooded sweatshirt and blue jeans. He had short brown hair, a goatee and sported a lip ring.

Anyone with information about the suspect involved in this crime is urged to contact the Tyler Police Department, at 903-531-1000, or Crimestoppers, at 903-597-CUFF (903-597-2833). Crimestoppers will pay up to $1,000 for information that leads to the arrest and charges filed against the suspect in this case or any felony case.
