TYLER, TX (KLTV) - Colorful, sparkling jewelry, rocks, minerals, plus, lots of prizes and games.

If you're looking for something different to do this weekend, check out the "Gemstone and Jewelry Showcase" in Tyler. Eleven vendors have all kinds of fossils and geodes for sale, and there are also things not for sale, like a display of rocks that looks like food.

Mmmmmm ... Crunchy!

"But if you come, bring the kids because it's a family oriented event and it's lots and lots of fun," said Keith Harmon with the Gem and Mineral Society. "We have everything that has to do with earth-sciences from basic rock to finished jewelry and everything in between."

The show kicks off Saturday and runs through Sunday. It's at the Rose Garden Center in Tyler. The cost is three-dollars for adults and only one-dollar for students.
