Texas firefighters receive over $1 million in funding

The Tri Lakes Fire Department in Pittsburg and Ben Wheeler Fire Department are two of the ten Texas fire departments to recieve a portion of over 1 million dollars in funding from the U.S. Department of Homeland Security.

According to DHS, this funding will enable local fire departments and emergency medical service organizations to purchase or receive training, conduct first responder health and safety programs, and buy equipment and response vehicles.

Tri Lakes recieved $19,950 and Ben Wheeler $90,035.
