Chaos at Inauguration checkpoint

KTRE 9 Reporter, our sister station, Christel Phillips is in Washington with her family for the Inauguration.  She just called to say they were standing in line getting ready to go through the checkpoint when two charter buses came through.  She says there was not enough police, or National Guard on the ground to contain the barrier.  A throng of people broke the barrier and filed in behind the charter buses.  She says it was very chaotic, children crying, some people trampled, and now they're trying to bring in additional law enforcement to restore the barriers.

Chistiel says they are being told the breach will add three hours to the time they go through the checkpoint.
