Hutchinson has positive feedback about running for Gov.

It was not an official "yes", but U.S. Senator Kay Bailey Hutchinson made it clear she has begun the organizational effort to run for Texas governor.

Senator Hutchinson was in Tyler Friday afternoon to tour UT Tyler's Ratliff Science and Engineering Building. She says the nation as a whole as a shortage in engineers, scientists and mathematicians. When asked about her run for governor, Hutchinson said she has had a lot of positive feedback in the past month.

"I think Texas is ready for a new beginning, a new leader, someone with a vision and enthusiasm and energy and that's exactly what I hope to be able to put forward," said the Senator.

During her visit, Hutchinson said she was very impressed with the UT Tyler's vision for stem education.
