A day after the candidates for Texas Governor faced off, Rick Perry dropped by an East Texas school to talk education.
Rick Perry visited with the kids at Tyler's Moore magnet school about staying in school and off drugs.
He laid out a five million dollar plan to help schools develop drop-out prevention. The Governor also talked Thursday about how he fared with Texas voters Wednesday night.
"Certainly it was a step forward for me," says Perry. "Being able to stand up toe to toe and these two candidates on the stage together and talk about our vision, particularly my vision, which obviously came through. Mr Sanchez wants to spend his time being critical of me, personally, or of Texas, and I just don't think that's constructive for the state of Texas."
