A Tyler man is arrested for the robbery of a convenience store this weekend.
Kilgore police say thirty year-old Tommie Lemar Stokes III of Tyler is charged with aggravated robbery, evading arrest and aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.
Police say Stokes pointed a pistol at a customer of the EZ Mart in the 600 block of Houston Street Sunday night. When he demanded money from the clerk, the register would not open. Police say that's when Stokes fled. He led Kilgore police on a short pursuit before they arrested him.
