A Family Wins the Lottery and Gives the Gift of Love.

Two year old Lindsay has a lot of giggles to go around. But it hasn't always been that way for her four older sisters, who were separated for years in foster care. "The girls have been moved around a lot," says Ann Roberts. That's why two years ago Ann and Tom Roberts took in all five of the girls as foster parents. "They needed to be together, they needed to see Lindsay grow up, and I think that's helping them heal," explains Ann. With the Roberts three biological children, the finances were stretched. Then, in April a big break. Tom and co-workers won the super lotto, and split $75 million. Nine days later, the Roberts really hit the jackpot when they made it official, and adopted Lindsay and her four sisters. Ann says with a big smile, "They would be able to go to horse camp, ballet classes, things like that they wanted to do." One of the first things the Roberts did with their winnings, besides adopting the five girls, was to pay off their big red van, which totes the family around. But even before they won the lottery, the Roberts say they were determined to provide these girls with everything they had lost. "They've lost their families, their natural families, their aunts and uncles, the houses, the schools, everything they knew before that," says Ann. But these girls have found something no amount of money can buy, the Gift of Love.
