Frankston Coach Loper Honored for 700th Win

Few basketball coaches reach the seven hundred victory mark.

Frankston's Coach Robert Loper is in that rare, elite group.

Tuesday night state representative Chuck Hopson and hundreds of fans and former players honored Coach Loper for his 700 career wins.

The milestone came on December 19th against Scurry Rosser. He was presented with the game ball from that night. Also a coach at Bullard, Coach Loper said longevity was key.

"There's a lot of folks that are involved in something like this," Coach Loper told KLTV 7 Sports. "I'm just kind of satellite revolving around them. It's great to see them all again. We've had a lot of success here and a lot of fine young men have had a lot to do with what we've accomplished here."
