Last Defendants Sentenced For Murdering East Texas Family

The last two defendants in one of the most brutal East Texas murders of 2008 have been sentenced.

Charles Waid and Charlie Wilkinson were formally sentenced to life in prison without parole. They pleaded guilty in November in exchange for testifying against Erin Caffey and the fourth defendant, Bobbie Johnson.

The four were arrested in March for allegedly killing Caffey's mother and two brothers before burning their house down in Emory.
