Longview Theatre Robbed At Gunpoint

A masked gunman is on the loose after robbing an East Texas movie theatre.   Police say it happened around 11:30 this morning at the Carmike 10 theater in Longview.

Theater employees told police while they were opening, a man wearing a ski mask and armed with a handgun robbed them and then fled the scene. Since the doors to the theater were locked at the time, investigators are trying to figure out just how the robber got inside.

"All the doors were locked and the suspect showed up inside the business while the doors were locked there are several theories that investigators are looking at if he had a key somehow somebody lost a key or if he stayed overnight in the theatre they don't know at this time they're exploring all aspect of how he got into the theatre when it was locked" says Officer Kevin Brownlee of the Longview Police Department.

No one was injured in the robbery. If you have any information on this, call Longview Police.
