A lawsuit is filed against an east Texas post office, with former employees claiming racial discrimination. The lawsuit states since December of last year, three African-American employees at the Henderson post office have been fired. The plaintiffs charge the post office with racial harassment, discriminatory promotion practices, and not providing adequate reason for termination.
"We're looking for resolution we're looking for the post office to stand up number one , admit that they have a problem, and bring positive resolution to the table and eradicate the racism, it is not in their best interest to continue to sweep this under the rug and pretend it does not exist" said Bishop L.J. Guillory of Ombudsman International, who is investigating the plaintiffs claims.
A Dallas representative for the post office had no comment today, and said the case was being handled internally. Bob Hallmark firstname.lastname@example.org
