An East Texas church has resurrected an old way to help people get something to eat.
In economic hard times, those who have the least are often challenged just to get a meal. So the Church of the Nazarene in Gladewater started a free soup kitchen last month. Members make enough to feed around 50 people, but they are bracing for more, just in case.
The kitchen is open Saturdays, and volunteers will also make deliveries for those who need it.
