Charlton Heston Visits Longview for Republican Senate Candidate

A Hollywood legend, who is remembered for films like Ben-hur and the Ten Commandments, visited an East Texas city today in support of a bid for senate.

Hundreds turned out for a fundraiser at the Longview Exposition Center where screen legend Charlton Heston appeared.

Heston was in town stumping for Texas Attorney General John Cornyn, who is running for senate.

Cornyn was almost overshadowed as supporters came out to get a glimpse and be entertained by the man who many will always remember as Moses.

Heston looked in good spirits in spite of making an announcement recently that he was in the early stages of Alzheimer disease.
