AS AUTUMN BEGINS, CHURCHES ARE URGED TO PLAN FOR SPRING BREAK

Autumn begins this weekend, but evangelist Luis Palau wants churches to plan now for Spring Break.

Palau's Beachfest in Fort Lauderdale, Florida -- scheduled for the weekend of March 22nd and 23rd -- is to include a satellite feed to thousands of churches holding their own Spring Break parties nationwide.

The two-hour feed will feature top Christian bands and a Gospel message. The Reverend Palau hopes non-Christians enjoying Spring Break in Fort Lauderdale also will be drawn to Beachfest's music, skateboarding, antique cars and food court.

Palau's Beachfest this past June in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, attracted an estimated 85-thousand people.
