Santa visits East Texas Oil Museum

In Kilgore, a visit by the jolly one from the North was an effort to get kids involved in helping the less fortunate.  At the East Texas Oil Museum in Kilgore, Santa was granting Christmas wishes.

"We want everyone to have a Merry Christmas," said Mr. Kringle.  Mr. and Mrs Kringle stopped by to benefit the Helping Hands Program of Kilgore.  Children had to donate canned food for an audience with Santa.  Food that would go to those in need in the community.

"The love of the family with one another and bringing in friends and people less fortunate to share in their bounty, if there was a little trinket given that was wonderful, toys are not exactly what everyone wants, children just want to have a nice home a bed, food and just someone to love them," said Mrs Kringle.  The wish list was far ranging, from computer games to new bicycles, to x-box, and one little girl asked for a new baby brother, which was news to her parents, but the bigger lesson of caring for others was received, the season for giving.

"I hope people can have all the food they can eat and all the presents they want," said Morgan McKee, 11.

"Needy people need to know that someone is out there thinking about them and loving them," said Mrs Kringle.

"No matter what, it is no matter how small it may seem, give it, because the more you give the more you're going to get back," said Santa.
