Hudnall charged with murder; arrest affidavit released

Michael Scot Hudnall Michael Scot Hudnall

Michael Scot Hudnall has now been charged with murder. Hudnall remains in the hospital after yesterday's shooting at CB&I. Police say Hudnall shot and killed his ex-girlfriend, Joanna Jones, a CB&I employee, before turning the gun on himself. We looked at a copy of the arrest affidavit, which says this shooting seemed to have stemmed from a break-up gone bad.

Police say Hudnall and the victim recently broke up, but the suspect would not leave her alone. He showed up to her job after an argument yesterday morning.

That's where police say Hudnall confronted Ms. Jones. The affidavit goes on to say witnesses heard the victim scream and then heard two gunshots. One witness tells police they saw the suspect push Ms. Jones against a brick wall and put the .357 magnum to her head and fire.

Moments later, a second shot was heard.

The suspect's truck was also found in the parking lot of CB&I. After running the plates, police say the truck was listed in his name. The address listed was the same as Ms. Jones' apartment.

Hudnall is still in an East Texas hospital tonight, but they're not releasing any information on his condition.
