MADD wants you to Tie One On for safety's sake

If you spot a red ribbon on someone's car, that means they're 'tying one on for safety,' and they want you to do the same. It's a Mothers Against Drunk Driving campaign, urging the public to drive safe, sober and buckle up. Today, MADD honored those in the community who helped save lives on our roadways. Last year, there were 24 people killed and more than 500 injuries in Smith and Gregg Counties due to drunk driving.

"Anybody involved in a DWI accident, driving and caused the accident, you've torn up two families, your family and the family that was involved in it. That's what kept me involved in MADD."

That was Jack Bouslog, who for the last eight years has made the white crosses that can be seen on the side of East Texas roads, in memory of drunk driving victims.
