Korean War Fighter Restored in Hawkins

A piece of air power history has been restored in East Texas to take its place in a prominent museum.

A rare Korean war era F-9-F Panther jet fighter has been rebuilt by a Hawkins historian.

Bob Snyder found the old shell of the jet in a Minnesota farmhouse.

Using thousands of dollars to get parts and rebuild the panther, the satisfaction for Snyder is bringing back history.

The fighter will be shipped out Tuesday to be on permanent display in the combat air museum in Topeka Kansas.
