JT, Lee, Lufkin, Chapel Hill advance to second round

In a full day of high school football Saturday, several East Texas teams won their opening round games.

John Tyler beat Killeen Shoemaker 29-18 at Midlothian. The Lions will play Highland Park next week.

The Robert E. Lee Red Raiders defeated A&M Consolidated 13-3. Lee plays Garland next week.

The Lufkin Panthers played at home, beating Klein in a come-from-behind win with less than a minute to go. They will play Cy-Ridge next Saturday at 2:00pm at Kyle Field in College Station.

Chapel Hill defeated Jasper at Lufkin

The Brownsboro Bears fell to Waco La Vega 42-14.
