Angel Tree has more Angels than ever

Tyler's angel tree drive kicked off Saturday morning.  Mayor Barbara Bass, KLTV 7's Mark Scirto and many others were there for the big event.  The Salvation Army told us it has more angels this year than ever before. They believe the poor economy has forced more people to ask for help. With 3,000 needy angels they hope everyone will stop by the Broadway Square Mall in Tyler and pick one up.

"The Salvation Army is seeing more and more people coming through their doors who need extra help especially this Christmas season, so in saying that we really are in need of people that are able to step up and help that much more this Christmas season," said Captain Zach Bell, Salvation Army of Tyler.

The angel tree drive runs until December 10th.
