Arkansas Baptist Forfeits Win Over TJC

Arkansas Baptist has been forced to forfeit several wins this season due to the use of ineligible players, including a victory over Tyler Junior College.

On Thursday, KLTV 7 Sports reported that Arkansas Baptist was under investigation. The NJCAA Compliance Office issued the order to the school on Friday. Arkansas Baptist is a new provisional member of the SWJCFC.

According to conference sources, the school played multiple ineligible players in all of its eight  games played this season, including the win over Tyler Junior College on October 18th.

TJC's record now improves to 4-4 and 3-3 in the conference. Trinity Valley was in fourth place in the SWJCFC, but since the Apaches get the forfeited win, they still have a chance of making the postseason.

The Apaches would make the SWJCFC conference with a Saturday win over Northeastern Oklahoma, coupled with a Trinity Valley loss at Arkansas Baptist. A Trinity Valley win or a Tyler Loss will give TVCC the final playoff spot.

Other wins Arkansas Baptist must forfeit are the August 30th victory over Highland, the September 6th victory over Northeastern Oklahoma and the October 11th victory over Cisco.
