Air Show Takes Flight in Tyler

The skies over Tyler will be filled with vintage planes and fighter jets Saturday to help raise money for two good causes.

Pilots flew into Tyler Pounds Regional Airport Friday for the third annual plane pull and fly by air show.

Channel 7's Dana Dixon braved the skies in an L-29 fighter jet Friday just to get a preview of the fancy flying in store at Saturday's air show.

Gates open at 8:30 Saturday morning. The plane pull gets underway at 9:00, then the air show takes flight at 9:30. All of the festivities will be at the old terminal at Tyler Pounds Regional Airport.

The money raised will benefit the Special Olympics and the Historical Aviation Memorial Museum.
