Hundreds gather at Rose Garden for job fair

Hundreds gathered at the Rose Garden in Tyler this morning in hopes to walk away with a new job. Employers from 30 different companies were at today's Workforce Solutions of East Texas job fair. Many we talked today say they've been looking for a new job for weeks, but say right now the job search has been difficult.

"It's been very hard to find a job. I've been looking all week and have not found one yet," said Ebonee Hamilton.

"Some industries are, like food services is always hiring, but I've been a manager for 20 years, and it's really hard to find a professional job," said Robert McNeil.

"More people are being laid off and that means there are not jobs out here for us, good paying jobs. I mean we may find a $5 or $6 paying job an hour, but that won't help us," said Timothy Dews.

Workforce Solutions says all the businesses at today's job fair are hiring. About 350 people attended today.
