East Texas fugitive caught in Kilgore

An East Texas fugitive, wanted on numerous charges, has been captured in Kilgore after threatening to set his girlfriend on fire.

The girlfriend told deputies Sunday night that the two were arguing over money for cigarettes at a house on the 200 block of private road 3790 in Kilgore.

Deputies say that's when the boyfriend sprayed her with lighter fluid, and threatened to set her and the house on fire. 32 year old Robert Earl Sheppard is charged with aggravated assault family violence, failure to identify as a fugitive, and criminal mischief.
