FRANKSTON (KLTV)

No threat found at Frankston school

We got several phone calls Thursday morning from parents, concerned a gun was brought to the Frankston ISD campus. One student has been suspended, but officials say it was all a big misunderstanding.

Yesterday, an argument broke out between two students. During the incident, officials say one student did threaten to bring a weapon to school. Police did show up to the school this morning, but no weapon was ever found on site.

"Our intent is to keep our students safe...we are just a microcosm of the community and there are things that happen. We try to hold those to a minimum when we can," said Superintendent Austin Thacker.

Superintendent Thacker says anytime a threat like that is made, it's reported to police.

The student was not on campus today.
