The Salvation Army of Tyler Women's Auxiliary is gearing up for it's mini clothing sale.
Since the late 1980's, the sale has taken in more than $1 million, benefiting Salvation Army outreach programs.
Economic stresses are tightening belts, and organizers said the best part is being able to help those who need it most.
"They look forward to our sale each year," said Henrietta Grooms, president of the Women's Auxiliary. "[Clients] save up their money, they come, and they're so pleased with their purchases. It's really wonderful for this community."
Friday's mini clothing sale will begin at 8am at the Salvation Army Complex.
On the weekend of the October 24th, from 9am-3pm, the big sale will offer great deals on clothes, furniture, house wares, and even small appliances and electronics.
