Pacman Suspended Indefinitely

IRVING, Texas (AP) - The NFL today suspended Dallas Cowboys cornerback Adam "Pacman" Jones for violating the league's personal conduct policy.

NFL commissioner Roger Goodell will determine the length of the suspension, initially four games, following the Dallas game in Washington on Nov. 16.

Jones was in repeated legal trouble while with the Tennessee Titans. He was involved in an alcohol-related scuffle Oct. 7 with one of his bodyguards at a private party at a Dallas hotel.

The disturbance came six weeks after Goodell reinstated Jones from a 17-month suspension.

The league says reinstatement will depend on strict compliance with treatment plans by the NFL and the Cowboys -- and an evaluation by clinical experts.

Cowboys owner Jerry Jones says the question really is whether Adam Jones can address his issues he needs to address. The team owner says the player "does need treatment," which would be voluntary.
