Senate candidate Noriega making East Texas stops this weekend

US Senate candidate Rick Noriega will visit East Texas on Saturday October 4th, outlining his plan to bring change to Texas families:

3:30pm - A Rally with East Texas Democrats

Mt. Pleasant Civic Center, 1800 N. Jefferson Ave., Mt. Pleasant, Texas

5:30pm - Upshur County Democrats Annual Bean Dinner

Yamboree Fair Ground - Highway 271 North Gilmer, Texas

Rick Noriega is a 27-year veteran of the military.  Noriega served as the Laredo Sector Commander for "Operation Jumpstart," the National Guard's border security campaign, and served with the Army National Guard in Afghanistan. 

Rick Noriega was also chosen to serve as the incident commander of the Hurricane Katrina refugee support operations at Houston's George R. Brown Convention Center, coordinating relief efforts in the wake of the devastating natural disaster.

A graduate of the University of Houston and Harvard University, Noriega is a member of the Defense Affairs and State and Federal Relations Committee of the Texas House of Representatives.  A father of two sons, he is married to At-Large Houston City Council Member Melissa Noriega.
