At townhall meeting in Tyler today, Berman and others pledge renewed conservatism

A renewed pledge with Texas: that's what State Representative Leo Berman and a team of Texas lawmakers say they'll hold themselves to.

The Texas Conservative Coalition announce their plan at a town hall meeting in Tyler today.

It's a ten item agenda that drawn up to address major policy issues facing the state. The plan calls for cutting property taxes and improving public education. It also aims to require a photo ID for voters and border security.

Representative Berman says it may take more than one session, but it can happen.

"They're all very feasible. We have 50 members of the Texas Conservative Coalition, that's a great start, if we got 50 people that are going to work hard on these issues, that's a great jump start to get them done," said Berman today.
