Jurors called for Thursday's Cowart case can stay home

Smith County residents who were called for jury duty on Thursday in the capital murder trial of James William Cowart, Jr., don't have to appear tomorrow because the case has been postponed.

Tonda Curry, one of Cowart's defense attorneys, has withdrawn from the case due to health reasons, which caused the delay.

Cowart, 47, is set to stand trial for the murder of his mother, Martha Miller, in February of 2007.
