Governor Rick Perry says he's "sick and tired" of the partisan gridlock in Washington.
Perry today slammed the federal government for failing to agree on a rescue of the U.S. financial markets.
Republican Perry, who's seeking re-election in 2010, stopped short of endorsing any particular approach to the U.S. financial meltdown.
The governor warned against any measures that would allow shady business practices to continue.
Perry also says Texas has the best economy and most prepared government in the nation.
Still, he warned that legislators who convene in January will likely face the twin pinch of a national slowdown and unexpected expenses from Hurricane Ike.
Ike hit Southeast Texas on September 13th.
